Lóthlorien (or Lorien) is the domain ruled by the great Elf-queen Galadriel and her consort Celeborn. Although Lóthlorien has long been under siege by Sauron, Galadriel has hidden it from his vision by wielding one of the remaining Rings of Power not under the control of Sauron himself (Fisher, 2006, p. 227).

When studying this region, students should pay close attention to the ecology of Lóthlorien.
